Creating a place brand for Elizabeth Quay

The Place

Elizabeth Quay is one of Perth's showcase redevelopment projects – reconnecting the Swan River with the CBD. It is being planned, developed and managed as a multi-functional city destination focused on people and the visitor experience.

Our Role

Place Match developed the Place Brand Strategy for Elizabeth Quay and directed its creative execution on behalf of the MRA. This included:

  • Environmental and context analysis
  • Defining the Place Proposition and Values
  • Project management of creative brand development and onsite signage  
  • Interpretation of the site’s extensive history and cultural significance including heritage brand strategy, copywriting, stakeholder liaison
  • Destination Development Strategy and supporting Marketing Plan for Barrack Square

Outcomes

The Brand Strategy informed award-winning creative and project communications and has been structured to influence ongoing project phases including planning, marketing, investment attraction and place activation.
