Transforming Curtin's Bentley campus
WA’s largest and most multi-cultural university. With a focus on innovation and practical learning, Curtin’s vision is to establish the university as a destination – creating a fun and engaging campus experience for students, staff and visitors.
Working as part of an integrated team, Place Match developed a Place Activation Plan for the Curtin campus, incorporating destination development, the built environment, branding, programming and place management.
A place-led approach replaced the traditional planning process to leverage Curtin’s community assets, inspiration, and potential. Based on extensive engagement with staff and students, a series of destinations were identified supported by strategies to revitalise them in the short, medium and long term.
