Lisa Montgomery has the skills necessary to be a visionary and multidisciplinary place maker. She started her career in journalism, before moving into regional community and economic development. She worked in marketing, communications and special events in the tourism industry, before transitioning into urban redevelopment to focus on strategic land release planning, and developing place management teams. Prior to founding Place Match in 2011 Lisa led the project team that transformed the Perth Cultural Centre and William Street from a dead inner city space to a hotbed of happening activity, now loved by people of all ages and backgrounds and one of Perth's 'must see' places.
Lisa's first hand experience in these diverse areas gives her detailed knowledge of place making and how local community identity, strategic investment attraction and ongoing place management works together to create successful places. Her professional qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism and Sociology) from Curtin University.
